I thought US companies didn't rely on the middle east for oil anymore.
I'm sure I read somewhere that BP gets all it's oil from the gulf.

We don't rely on them because of fracturing true.  They are in the process of driving them out of business by having a market glut.
When you watch the market for the consumer long term you want to see oil prices stay above $50 a barrel because that keeps the US industry healthy. Ideally, around $60 everyone is happy both consumer and fracturing industry.

The perfect storm has been created by the MSM, main stream media, purely for political purposes only. Yes, the Saudi/Russian standoff was roiling the world market, then the msm got hold of the virus thing and have created a panic beyond all reason and measure, purely for political reasons and to drive a narrative. When was the last time we shut down the country due to a virus - never. The swine flu in 2009 hospitalized and killed a whole bunch of people, what did we do then? - right, basically nothing. Right now 40 people have died, none younger than 50 and a large number of those were in a retirement home in Washington State. Take a look at stats how many people are shot and killed in Chicago, Philly, Baltimore etc. in a single weekend, do we shut down the NBA, NASCAR, schools etc? And what about the small business's that live on the income from those public events? - where do they go to get reimbursed for their losses - maybe CNN, MSNBC, ABC etc? - I don't think so, they fat and high fiving it all the way to the bank.

I don't know. What did you tell them? That 3 ft is not enough and that it is supposed to be 6 ft apart?

Austin is telling people 6', you can't get that far apart in a grocery store isle. I basically told them it would be a cold day in hell before I'd stand in line at a grocery store and promptly drove to the nearest liquor store who were more than glad to see my $$$'s. The nearest case to me is 70 miles in Austin and no one has died there yet, none reported in any of the Hill Country Counties. I'll be 77 next week, if I get it and if I die let there be no weeping at my passing, I've lived a good life and like Sinatra said "I did it my way" with darn few regrets and I'm too old to change now.

Aerosol form New England Journal of Medicine found it can linger up to 3 hours, thus all the masks you saw in China and South Korea, So 6' separation really does nothing if someone is shedding and doesn't know it.

The virus that causes COVID-19 remains for several hours to days on surfaces and in aerosols, a new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found.

$2.20 here drove down main today and didn't see 1 pump being used out of 4 different stations. People were still in the grocery stores, however.

If your local fuel supply contains ethanol, I would have serious reservations about storing gasoline for more than 30 days or so.....

Your right. I keep enthanol free in the genny. But if I did need it for a hurricane it wouldn't be sitting in there long. As a matter of fact the last hurricane I used some ethanol gas. Afterward I siphoned it all out and filled it up with ethanol free. That stuff does screw up carbs and gas tanks when left in there a while.

Ain't that a fact. Yesterday I was going to go over to the lake and just sit for a time and enjoy the coots etc. and then realized I could be arrested for not staying home? This ain't the America I've lived in for 77 years.

Not that it matters as we can't go anywhere? - but $1.46 today in Marble Falls. Actually, we're not under much restraint, but it ain't fun to go anywhere like it used to be.

$1.29 on the north side of town at Valero, usually not cheapest.  My favorite place to get gas is second lowest at $1.41.  Highest price in town is $1.45.

Also the 2nd home page using modified AltDashboard 6.95 at http://stillwaterweather.com/2ndhome.php
