Title: Sun/Moon Data
Post by: griffo42 on April 11, 2019, 07:25:13 AM
Hi from Brisbane Australia

I would like to include the Sun/Moon data from Andreas Hörstemeier on my site just as merc92 has done.  I have downloaded Andreas' moontool.zip and moon20.zip and unzipped them into separate folders but don't know where to go from there.  I am running Win 10 software.

Hope to hear from a helper soon

Thanks in advance

Keith

Do you mean the downloads from http://www.hoerstemeier.com/moon.htm ?

These are neither website (PHP) nor AJAX (JavaScript) programs.. they are written in Delphi (a TurboPascal derivative) and display stuff in a window on your PC (AFAIK).

You don't need the TMoon download -- it just contains the Delphi source code in case you wanted to compile it yourself.

The moontool.zip contains Windows setup.exe file which would install the application on your system.  However, trying to run that SETUP.EXE (1999 date) is refused by Windows 10 (on my system), likely because it isn't signed code, so is prevented from running.

I suggest you abandon that app .. It likely only runs on Windows XP/7/Vista and not on Windows10

Hi Ken

Thanks for your advice, expert as always!

That project is now abandoned.

You might look at timeanddate.com to see if they have anything you could use.
