New Weather Station
« on: March 26, 2020, 11:20:11 AM »
I'm getting a new Weather Station and it the WEATHER SYSTEM WITH 5-IN-1 SENSOR, PC CONNECT, WIND AND RAIN from AcuRite. Is this a good weather station to monitor Severe Weather?

I’d personally get the atlas if you have the budget.

I would go with Ecowitt or Ambient, I had two Acurite  weather stations both has issues, week or no signal inaccurate temp reading. I have not had a single issue with my Ambient and ecowitt stations.

I believe that PC Connect is no longer supported.  Others can probably clarify with details.

Another vote for Atlas.  Mine's been flawless.  Love that I can remote the anemometer and much shorter update interval for wind readings.  Atlas is newer technology than the 5n1 and better all-around.
