My little tornado encounter back in August was confirmed as an F0 by Environment Canada the other day.

Great photos and video of funnel cloud. I have one question, becouse I do not know weather conditions in US. Is it strange that funnel and tornado develop in this part of season. As I know from "Storm Chasers" on Discovery Chanel the tornado season is from May til Avgust. Any explanation.

Only ever seen one tornado in the flesh, that was about 10 miles off the south coast of Cyprus 15 years ago.  :-(

My wife, myself and, our dog got to experience an F-2 up close and personal back in September 2004. It came from what was left of Hurricane Ivan as it made it's way up through the states.
We were upstairs when it hit and watched the roof vanish.

This was a clip from the video I took as it developed while coming our way. (Shot through the front screen door for protection )

For Ontario, the "season" is May to September, with peak months in June - July.
We very rarely have any activity around Toronto.  However this summer, there was a major outbreak on August 20th. 11 tornado's.  Almost all of southern ontario was under a warning at one point, I can only recall one other warning in this area in year.  There were several f2's. Lots of damager, but no deaths in GTA. Up north a tornado did result in one death about 200 km's from city.

My sighting was two days later, no severe weather forecast, the actual cell was just heavy rain, no lightning, and no even very dark.

So let me guess, in the suitcase was the desktop computer, and in the safe was the weather station console?

Oh course! Console stays with me. With all the debris scattered around she could slip and fall damaging it so I carried it.

Wow, you are a lucky duck to see that. Even luckier to have the gadgets to photograph it on demand! Congratulations. :)
