So this is now the second week of clear old conditions brought on by the High Pressure system parked over Alaska - with up to another week in the forecast. It's been my observation that once these blocking patterns move on, all hell tends to break loose - with the strength of the ensuing storm systems seemingly directly proportional to the intensity and persistence of the previous high.
Today, my station just record an all time record high of 30.529" since I started keeping records in 2007.
Late October/November typically marks the start of the really strong storm season here anyway. I have a feeling this November is going to be a ******!
