Interesting article !  Broken down in the numbers makes you realize just how many did drop over the course of this event.

Thankfully, three of my friends in Alabama have finally seen the light and decided to purchase NOAA Weather Radios after this event from Reecom. I just hope others follow suit.

They don't do any good when they're so over used.  I've turned mine off.  I got tired of it bleeping every three minutes for 'reminders' (A so-and-so warning remains in effect.......) or those frigging Amber Alerts.

    NASA has released some satellite images of the tornado paths in Alabama back on 27 April.  They are false color. The one of the Tuscaloosa tornado is the best.  I tried to include it here (only 22kb) but I got a message that I should try smaller image.  Don't know why.  But you can see them here:

Did anyone see the documentary on the Discovery Channel this weekend, about this historic tornado outbreak? It was very well done, and had a lot never before seen (by me) video footage of the storms in the Deep South. The name of it was "Tornado Rampage 2011."

I watched the first half hour of it, but I got tired (I mean it was on at 1AM!) so I went to bed...It was a great show!

     I only saw part of it.   I forgot it was on and just caught a bit of it.  It looked great.  I am sure it will be on again.  Those networks repeat stuff, at least the things I don't like, over and over again.  Well, the way things go it probably won't be on again cause it was good.
