My station, whilst reporting normally to Ambient, randomly stopped showing data late afternoon 08/12/2019. It shows as online, however, and I know it to be online from various other sources.

Email to WU not yet responded to.

Neighbor's station, same issue, just from a few hours earlier on 08/12/2019.

Same thing is going on with my PWS. Started late afternoon on 8/13/19. No data is displayed but the status shows as - " Online(updated just now)". My PWS is KALHUNTS264.

Apparently lately Online doesn't mean online. It is more indicative to see what follows as usually it will say Updated 20 years ago...which really means it is offline.

@jasonbopp Out of curiosity I followed your link, then went back to the 13th. Apparently something happened at 4:36PM because the data stopped at that point. Don't know if that helps, just an observation.

@awsum140 Interesting observation on the exact time when data stopped. Mine stopped at the exact same time, 5:36 CDT on the 13th. Seems like something occurred on the WU server/site at that time.

As Artie Johnson used to say "Verrry interesting, but dumb". The workings of WU are interesting, but seem to be getting, well you know. What's really interesting is that a lot of stations have kept right on plugging along. I wonder if it's related to when the station first came on line, or some routing problem, somewhere. Routing could be anywhere between the station and the WU server. Just for laughs, maybe someone that's having problems can do a tracert to the server, but I don't know the name/address to use.

I've reset my hardware and software many times, but WU quit showing my data and won't start back up. About to give up. 3-4 days of lost data already with no signs of being fixed.

I've done the same. I'm considering deleting the PWS and creating a new one with the same setup on my end.

My immediate reaction was to reset my connection until I realized everything else was working fine - just not WU.

It does seem odd that it's both mine and a neighbor who is about .6 mi away that went down within hours of each other on the same day.

My stations are working...retrieving data and reporting to the base... the base is on wifi but showing down on WU. This has been for the last few days. I've been a WU station for years... but the last few months are just a poor ... poor service. I'm not resetting the workstation again...I've danced this dance way too many times in the last year from resets to recreating stations. I'll be looking for another solution soon. Shame...this used to be fun....

Same. Well...16:36 MDT on the 13th. This is an Acurite 5-in-1 with wifi. Display shows accurate data; WU does not.

Weird. Sure would be nice if we could at least get an acknowledgement from WU that there's an issue but I don't even see this on their Trello board.

Hmmm, maybe a routing problem from your ISP, assming you're both using the same ISP.

Oh well, it was a thought anyway. I'll run wireshark against my access later today, after I get done with some outside work, and see what the IP is that it reports to.

My PWS which had not been showing data since Aug 13th just now started to work again at 12:59 PM CDT. I haven't done anything which would explain it.

So WU Support actually reached out after third email and we confirmed we were seeing the same things. Their recommendation: re-c/p the WU key into the Ambient portal and resave. Annnnd it worked, immediately.

They had no explanation as to why it wasn't working. Nothing got reset, just re-entered the same key over the same key in the Ambient portal and re-save.

Why are your using Ambientweather.net to report to Weather Underground instead of using your WS-2902A to directly update Weather Underground?

If you update via the WS-2902A then it will update Weather Underground every 16 seconds. The way you have it now it only updates about every 1 minute.

To configure the WS-2902A to upload directly follow these steps:
- First stop Ambientweather.net from uploading to WU using the Ambientweather.net portal.
- Use the awnet app to configure the WS-2902A upload
- Enter in your Weather Underground station ID and Key and Save

I would if awnet app would remember my device after configuration.

Multiple times going thru the steps, resulting in the checkmark Device Configuration Completed. Check your Display Console..... etc.

As I mentioned above, my PWS started posting data on Aug 16 after being down for days. Unfortunately it quit posting yesterday Sep 7 at 6:53 AM CDT. Same symptoms as I reported above. No data is displayed but the status shows as - " Online(updated just now)". My PWS is KALHUNTS264.

My PWS is now reporting after I reset the connection info. Must have been a problem on my end. Sorry for reporting this without trying the reset first.
