New mobile app for Android
« on: June 11, 2019, 09:33:22 AM »
Hi guys, I just published a new mobile app for Android.
It called  Weather forecast in charts and you can find it  here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jansk.jskweather
My effort was to create an app where you can see all  information about weather in your location next 12 hours, 3 day and 10 days on one screen.
It should work in any place on earth :)
I'll appreciate any feedback from you.
Thank you

Very nice graphs. What analysis model is it using for forecasting...or as txweather said...where is the data coming from?

Feedback:
Automatic location is nice but sometimes I want to know the forecast for a different location than mine. It would be nice to be able to manually enter in and save Favorite locations. This is important even when you are say at work and you want to know the forecast back at home.

Thank you for your feedback..
Data comes from Norwegian weather forecast model, they have quite good results,  it should be the same source as yr.no uses.
Forecast for other location will be in next version. I have also other ideas how to enhance the app, i'll let you know :)

What source are you using for road names? Says "Unnamed Road, Baxley, GA". Not sure about other sources, but Google Maps has my road listed and last year I even moved my street number on Google Maps to be exactly where it physically is.

Looks good.  It shows my location as 15 Valleyview which is very close to my actual address of 20 Valleyview.

Enjoy,
Paul

Hi everyone,
there is a new version pf Weather forecast in charts on Play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jansk.jskweather

You can now get forecast for every place which is possible to find in Google place search dialog. For instance street where you live, Mont Everest or Baker street 221b,London UK.. Aplication then calculates altitude from location of a place and gets a actual forecast for this location. Locations are stored in history.
Also there is a Share button in menu, so you can send a link to your friends if you want to.
I also added humidity chart.

Hope you'll enjoy this new features.
