Title: Score one for the Bloomsky
Post by: ggsteve on August 03, 2017, 10:34:58 AM
We had a vigorous rain yesterday afternoon.  We just missed the really heavy stuff but it came down hard for a while.  Here are my precip readings:

Rainwise Mk III - .67" (on eve of roof)
Rainwise Rainew - .68" (on post next to Cocorahs gauge)
Bloomsky 2 - .75" (on post in front yard)
Cocorahs - .77" (on post in back yard)

The Rainew and Cocorahs are usually within a bucket tip, but that has been at lower precip rates.  The Bloomsky is often all over the place.  I was close to an even better test.  5 miles away at my high school the Davis VP2 registered 2.59" yesterday including .99" in 26 minutes.
