Wind Gust Error on WU
« on: May 29, 2016, 10:32:31 AM »
I have my 5-in-1 station hooked up, and it is having no issues publishing online. However, when my weather station registers a 0 mph reading for a wind gust, it displays as -999 mph on WU (might be off slightly haha). Any known ways to fix that? It's shown right on the left side of the homepage: www.fitzweather.com

Thought of a really horrible one-liner response, but I won't use it.... -999 #-o
...awwww.. but it hurts so bad!.... no, I won't!
arrrrgh! ... oooh...
alright... that indicates the WU wind data at that moment really sucked.

... well I warned you.

As a developer I have to say Joe that WU for me is a nightmare. Their highly inconsistent api and unreiable outputs is something I spent hours and hours with.

Also their total ignorance of my feedback with regards to some absolute nonsense and misleading translations in Czech doesnt make them look much better.

That said... it is still the most widely used PWS networks site and one that is supported by many weather stations and software, so all you can do is try to contact them and hope someone will take notice of your bug report.

I will contact them. It's an unusual bug - would be different if it showed up on my console. I'll look for other places to upload in the future.  :-)
