Title: Unable to install

Same problem I've had in the past, but cant seem to resolve it this time........

New computer.  Windows 10, 16gb RAM, i5 processor

My VantagePro2 is not being seen by Cumulus.  I know I need to install the USB to serial converter, but when I try, I get this:

DeviceName = (\\?\usb#vid_10c4&pid_ea60#0001#{a2a39220-39f4-4b88-aecb-3d86a35dc748})
Failed to open the device, error - 5 No Devices Found. Communication Error
 Error in CP210x_GetDeviceSerialNumber() :: Invalid Handle
 Error while talking to the device.

 Press any key to exit


I disconnected all other USB devices, and even took the laptop off the docking station.  I tried installing w. the console both connected and disconnected from the laptop

What is the simple thing I am missing?

Are you trying to run both Cumulus and Weatherlink for Windows at the same time? Because you can't.

No.  In fact, I have rebooted the machine.  Still no luck

Are you sure that the logger has not been run in USB mode, and are you able to run the Weatherlink PC program in serial mode?
