Topic: Unable to change CWOP upload interval

Maybe I should be asking this on the Weather Display forum but since I am a member here I thought somebody here might have experience with my issue. I am trying out Weather Display and it is working but I'm having trouble changing how often it uploads CWOP data. In the CWOP options I select "Upload every 10 mins (default)" but it still sends every 5 minutes. I've tried 15 minutes and it still sends every 5 minutes. I've tried "clear all" and tried offset for 2 minutes, but so far no matter what I do it sends every 5 minutes. I had read that something longer than 5 minutes was recommended for CWOP uploads but I guess if it's not causing problems I could leave it, just a little frustrating not being able to change it but I'm probably overlooking something that should be obvious.

Some time ago 10 minutes was recommended. But then it changed and 5 minutes is now acceptable and common to do. I'd leave it at 5 minutes. That is what I do with my Meteobridge.

I think the 10 minute thing was from back in the time when CWOP didn't have its own APRS servers and was using the ham radio community's network. So every 10 minutes was to try an minimize server load. CWOP grew up fast and ham radio people got ticked off regardless. This required CWOP to put up its own servers. At first there were few and now there is like 8 or so servers. So the upload interval was relaxed and 5 minutes became acceptable. I wasn't around back then but I've read a lot and that is how I've understood it. It is a shame that CWOP websites still have outdated information and this is one of those issues.

Thank you @galfert. I fooled around with it and I don't know which effort did the trick but I finally got it to take a 15 minute interval. We'll see what happens when I try to get back to 5 or 10 minutes.
