I used to think I was bullet proof but not anymore. I should have been dead several times from lightning only to snub my nose at it. Seriously, out in the middle of a lake fishing holding a nice 7ft fishing rod without a care in the world.  Not once but many times. Now, as soon as those dark clouds come around I run like a scared puppy. |

They were dang lucky. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3DRfvfk-pEI believe the arc(s) are a reflection of another (closer) strike than the one shown in the video. ditto, freeze frame that "precursor" on the rail and there is no illumination on surfaces around it. Does appear to be a lens reflection. |
