Mine GRL3 is not updating. Both KDTX (Detroit) and KIWX (Fort Wayne) is scrolling.  thanks for pointing this out.  I also have a radar provided by a subscription provided by a local TV station and it is current looping all of the CONUS.

My GRL3 was down earlier today but it has been back for about 30 minutes at the least.

Someone over at AmericanWx noted the NWS radar outage was caused by the (now) rogue Galaxy XV satellite drifting into the path of the NWS satellite, causing a LOS to ground stations......
G-XV was "zapped" last April during a solar storm....and has been drifting in and out of the path of other satellites ever since.....

Over 100 satellites that have failed or no longer in use still floating up there according to this article:

Scrap iron collectors should be working on building a space ship garbage truck anytime now.   Wink

It would probably pay for itself after it's first collection with all the gold and other things they'd retrieve. Laughing

What was the name of the TV show where someone had built his own spaceship to do something similar to this? Possibly in the '70s? Collecting stuff from the moon?

Could it be something like "Salvage 1"??  That was in 1979.  I found that from a search but only have a very vague recollection of the show itself.

Here's another one I found but I have no recollection of watching it.

Given the photos of the females in the show and being a teenager at the time I'm pretty sure I would remember if I had watched it.   Laughing

YES! That's it, I thought I remembered Andy being in it, and I think they used the mixer from a concrete truck to create the capsule.
