I am looking at purchasing my 1st weather station. I would like to have 3 extra temp sensors. One of those would be in water, the other under our home. I feel like a Davis or OS is in my future. Which one of these systems would be best for my needs. I would like to stay under 500 bucks all said and done. Options and advice welcomed. Thanks

I have had an OS WMR968 and I am now using a Davis Vantage Pro 2 (6152).  I think both of these would serve your purposes.  But the $500 limit pushes you to the OS unit.
The WMR968 has some very good qualities.  But it also has some problems.  Look under the Oregon Scientific board for some good reading on those problems.  I really liked the 968 and am going to put mine back in service in Spring....at least I hope so.
Good luck.  You will get more helpful info I am sure.

This may be helpful also ... http://weather-station-reviews.com/category/weather-station-information/
There's also the 1-wire system option. I believe I read somewhere that up to 100 additional sensors could be added. http://www.aag.com.mx/aagusa/index1.html
