The moon phase issue appears to only effect those using the ajaxWDwx.js version 9.xx code (or the modified 9.xx code included with version 6 of the alt-dashboard.)  Rainer changed the Moon Phase to a new calculation method of displaying the phase that seems to have gone wrong starting in 2011.  Since I have no idea what that code is, I''ll give it a bit of time and see if he comes out with a patch otherwise I'll re-write the old version back into the code to fix it.  Sorry.

Scott
Scott,

Not convinced on the issue being an ajaxWDWX.js 9.xx issue....  I posted this on a weather-watch.com topic earlier this evening:

My Webster Version 5.03 & Version 6.02 Alternate Dashboard pages show 1%; however my Version 4.20 shows 19%.  I'm using Webster's 3.0 ajaxWDwx.js, a revised version of 2.19, so it most likely in the ajax-dashboard.php not ajaxWDwx.js.  I've been having some date format and other issues in 6.02 and it's till work in progress before it becomes my default page.
           Full v.4.20 = http://www.lakemaryweather.com/wdl/wxindex4.php
           Base Version 5.03 = http://www.lakemaryweather.com/wdl/wxindex5.php
           Work in progress v6.0.2 = http://www.lakemaryweather.com/wdl/wxindex4.php
You might want to ask Scott on http://www.wxforum.net as he no longer uses this forum weather-watch.com Sad

I'm still running a modified version of your 4.20 Alternative Dashboard as my sites home page, and have no issue with "Moon" setting.  Currently it shows "Waxing Crescent 21% Illuminated".  I might be able to find some time digging into it tomorrow, I really want to but v6.02 as "Home" page as soon as I can can.

Actually it makes sense since version 4.xx used the old version of java script and version 5 and greater uses the new 9.xx

As of now his site is not working properly either (as well as the moonphase).....http://www.bashewa.com/

I saw that too, I was hoping he would make a release to fix that and a couple other errors.  I fixed the ones I could figure out but some of them I just haven't figured out.  It would help a lot if there was a "Standard" format to all measurements in WD, right now there are so many different formats dates, times and some readings are in it's almost impossible to write anything without 100 different functions to fix formats and account for things.

Yeah, I'm having trouble with WD at the moment.
Working with Windy to get a fix for the WMR200 history download.
He's made a new version available which I'll test today.

I also had the all time station record showing 1/1/1970 but on your high lows trend script it was showing the correct date so I changed

<?php echo create_datemdy($recordhightempmonth,$recordhightempday,$recordhightempyear)?>

to

<?php
                      if ($WDdateMDY)
                          echo fixup_date($recordhightempmonth . "/" . $recordhightempday . "/" . $recordhightempyear);
                      else
                          echo fixup_date($recordhightempday . "/" . $recordhightempmonth . "/" . $recordhightempyear);
                   ?>

and that now works. Interesting to note that it was only the high temperature that was affected and not the low or warmest coldest days and nights.

Hi,This fixed my All Time Record dates. I had to do the same with LOW records.

The UV image not showing up when  the reading is 0 was just the image name. It was UV0 instead of uv0

Ok, I will make this change in the next release of the script.  Hopefully this will help others too.  Thanks!

Hi Scott,

I got my moon phases working with your latest update.  Thank you for your time on this project.  Will take a look at my high/low trends as mentioned above and see what goes there.

Thanks again for all.

Hi again Smile
I am almost finished translating the dahsboard but have a few questions.

Where can I find the info to translate current condition (next to the current cond image)?
Is it possible to translate the text for the Moon condition?

I think you will have to manually translate the Moon Phase around line 2334 in the dashboard.  The other comes from WD itself and I'm not sure how you will be able to make that change, sorry.

UPDATE NOTICE:

I have updated alt-dashboard6 to include fixes for date display issues on the high/low temp history (last row of the display).  Some people were not happy with the way it displayed dates.  I also found a bug in which the daily low dew point could have a double degree indication.  I ahve also added an option to set both Lightning and Snow in the third row to false and it will display "Coming Soon" and a blank section for now.  I would like to put another option in there but so far the only suggestion I've been given is the USA extreme weather and I'm afraid that would be a bit limited for such a big area.  Any other ideas?

This is a very minor update that will effect very few so don't feel the need to update if you aren't having any issues as outlined above!  You can find the updated version 6.04 on my site in the scripts section or click here to download:

http://www.websterweatherlive.com/downloads/Alt-Dashboard604.zip

Thanks!

Hi,
Just discovered strange reading in Current Solar Energy
Feels like: 28.5 Deg C

Not very likely when temp outside is 2 Deg C and Solar energy is 22 W  Smile

Is there a setting I have missed or somewhere in the script this can be corrected?

Scott : Moon phase translation didn't have any effect. Translated to Norwegian and still printed in English.

I'll take a look at it tonight.  Did you translate in both the dashboard and the ajaxWDwx.js spots?

My mistake. The translation was in the lang-.js file.

This will fix the icon problem, the style changes slightly.....

Code:
      <?php $doPrintNWS false;

$nIcons 3// set to number of icons desired
if ($nIcons count($forecasticons) ) {$nIcons count($forecasticons); }
?>

  <?php

for ($i=0;$i<$nIcons;$i++) {
      print
"<td style=\"width: 11%;\" class=\"data1\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">$forecasticons[$i]</span></td>\n";
    }

?>

          </tr>
           <tr>
    <?php

for ($i=0;$i<$nIcons;$i++) {
     print
"<td style=\"width: 11%;\" class=\"data1\">$forecasttemp[$i]</td>\n";
    }

?>

code]

You can see it in action on my home page...... http://stillweather.com

No problem;

Replace this...

Code:
<?php // end $useWU  ---------------------------------------- ?>
            </table>
              </td>
              <td valign="top" align="center" colspan="3">
              <table width="230" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="4">
            <tr>
                  <td align="center" style="text-align: center; font-size: 11px; border: 1px solid gray;" >
                      <?php echo $forecasticons[0]; ?><br/>
                      <?php echo $forecasttemp[0]; ?>
                 </td>
<td align="center" style="text-align: center; font-size: 11px; border: 1px solid gray;" >
                      <?php echo $forecasticons[1]; ?><br/>
                      <?php echo $forecasttemp[1]; ?>
                 </td>
<td align="center" style="text-align: center; font-size: 11px; border: 1px solid gray;" >
                      <?php echo $forecasticons[2]; ?><br/>
                      <?php echo $forecasttemp[2]; ?>
                 </td>
            </tr>

With this...

Code:
<?php // end $useWU  ---------------------------------------- ?>
            </table>
              </td>
              <td valign="top" align="center" colspan="3">
              <table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="4">

            <tr valign ="top" align="center">
      <?php $doPrintNWS false;

$nIcons 3// set to number of icons desired
if ($nIcons count($forecasticons) ) {$nIcons count($forecasticons); }
?>

  <?php

for ($i=0;$i<$nIcons;$i++) {
      print
"<td style=\"width: 11%;\" class=\"data1\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">$forecasticons[$i]</span></td>\n";
    }

?>

          </tr>
           <tr>
    <?php

for ($i=0;$i<$nIcons;$i++) {
     print
"<td style=\"width: 11%;\" class=\"data1\">$forecasttemp[$i]</td>\n";
    }

?>

            </tr>

UPDATE NOTICE:

I have updated alt-dashboard6 and ajaxWDwx.js to include fixes for the moon phase again.  Thanks to Ken's new moon phase code generator for the updated code by (Ken True, Saratoga-weather.org).  Have also modifed the ajaxWDwx.js to be up-to-date with Rainer's 9.13 release but with my additions for version 6.  The new file is now known as 3.03, a bit confusing but... (Rainer, www.bashewa.com)

This is a very minor update that will effect very few so don't feel the need to update if you aren't having any issues as outlined above!  You can find the updated version 6.06 on my site in the scripts section or click here to download:

http://www.websterweatherlive.com/downloads/Alt-Dashboard606.zip

Thanks!

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the updates and all the fixes.  I have version 6.06 up and running and it seems to be doing well.

Another possible fix in your next update in the AQI area when there is NO DATA available a generic icon is displayed.

A possible edit by John Gillett in this line from:

echo "<span style=\"font-size: 85%; \">Data Not<br />Available</span>";

To:

echo "<span style=\"font-size: 85%; \">Data Not<br />Available</ span><br /><br /><img src=\"./ajax-images/AQI0.jpg\" alt=\"Data Not Available\" />";

This will utilize the AQI0.jpg image in the ajax-images folder when the NO DATA Available from AQI...

Again thanks for all the work in this project.

I thought I had made that change for this version, guess I forgot to save the change!   d'oh!
I'll make sure I get it in the next update.
