Here's 1 of many lightning photos I took on last Monday (6th Dec) as a storm passed over my local area. I recorded 53 millimetres (just over 2 inches) of rain in about 35 minutes from this storm. These pictures are as the storm moved away from my area.
The storm also produced widespread damage nearby from large hail. I could see the hail on the rain radar as the storm moved close. The hail was coming from directly south of me here and was moving NNE'ly so the hail missed me by about 5 kilometres (3 miles) with widespread damage in the areas it did hit.

MY AREA IN JULY:
- Chilly mornings (anything between 30 F and 45 F mostly)
- Pleasant days (anything between 60 F and 70 F mostly)
- Dry, low humidity
- Very little rainfall (usually not much more than 2 inches)

Nice pic. I have to admit I am jealous though. Being this is a La Nina winter over here the storms have been non existent in my area. Would love to see, or hear a thunderstorm. Heck even a drop of rain would be nice.

Your more than welcome to have some of our rain  Razz, we've had way more than we need.
Interesting, the La Nina weather pattern is the reason we are having so much rain & storm activity over here this summer.
