Not too often wind run is mentioned - but I like to watch wind runs for my location.  My 11/26/10 wind run was 568 miles; a record for my Davis station (2007-2010).  The highest wind recorded was 47 but it howled (23+ mph avg) all day long.  My previous high was 481 in Dec 2008.

Wow! 568 Shocked!  I am not sure about the daily wind runs here.  It would take forever to go back and look at everyday's data record.  I did look at monthly wind runs.  My windiest wind run month was April 2009=3978.  Second place goes to Jan 2010=3723. And third place is April 2010= 3621.  I looked at my data on a graph for the last years data and it only goes up to 247. I will have to go back and do a quick look through the files now that my interest is peaked!

My best daily wind run was October 9th: 127 km.  That's not bad considering that I live in a clearing in the forest and my reported winds are about 1/10th of what stations in the open report.
