Has anyone ever heard of blue lightning??? Dry lightning??? Does this mean that lightening occurs where there's no rain?

Last night there was blue lightning here it looked like a blue flash bulb going off numerous times over a period.  Never seen it before.

Dry ligthing, heat ligthing all the same the storm to far for the sound wave to reach you but you can still see the flash on the horizon....

No differences at all??? No property changes in the atmosphere that my affect the production of lightning?
