That's great, a whole other side of the world that you can't normally see! Is is pretty much dark and dreary like that all the time there?

Yes, it's dreary and rainy most of the the time there. In late winter/early spring it's still daylight outside at three in the morning so it takes a little getting used too sometimes. I should mention that they are behind most of us, so if for example your on CST they are 3 hours behind, 8:00am is 5:00am there.
