WU Freezes up my WL on Random WU Up Loads - that about says it all - running the lastest WU, random lock-up no BSOD just locks up WeatherLink (latest) and nothing goes to CWOP I can control alt del and close down WL and all is fine on restart of WL. Does not help to reboot PC. I can go for a month no problems and then once or twice a day boom. It is a weather/printer server so I am not sure what could cause this. Nothing else running and no one home when it happens. I know its WU because the upload dialog box is on screen but all blanked out.
- am I lone - is there another place I can up load my data besides WU. I have no porblems with CWOP except CWOP fails when WU locks up WL...

I also send data to pwsweather.com/weatherforyou.com. It's about the same as WU but no rapidfire. Here is a link to one of my stations there: http://www.pwsweather.com/obs/EUCHEE.html

Might download a trial of StartWatch and see if detects when WeatherLink is hung. http://www.softwx.com/windows/startwatch.htmlMight keep you running without having to manually restart WL.

Since I did not get a big response I felt like it must be on my end so I did several scans of my server and malwarebytes turned up some "problems" so I am hoping it was on my end... giving WU another try....

I get an "Error creating log" dialogue box that freezes WL once in a while, so no uploads to CWOP or WU until I close down, reboot, and start everything back up. I find that rebooting the computer about once a week prevents the problem.

Well I am freezing up once a day so the reboot would get tedious... I think I am either going to have to shut down CWOP and WU individually to see if one can upload without crashing all on it's own. I did reinstall the WU dll and that did not help. However I have a sneeking suspicion it may have something to do with Comcast my internet provider....

I am hopeful I have found the solution it was possbily in CWOP set-up. I discontinued my CWOP uploads for a day and had no problems leading me to believe it was not WU at all. I then looked at my CWOP set-up. I found the info on the WL "bug" indicating I had to set a "dummy" account was wrong for me or I misread it. Either way once I started from scratch and set up APRS reporting, things seem to be going much better. Time will tell...

I called comcast and had them do a line check and it came back no problems. That's when I started looking closer at CWOP.

The same exact thing happens to me. I upload to CWOP every 5 minutes and those are the only times WL freezes up. I can go sometimes a week without it happening and then sometimes it'll happen 5-10 times per day. Today is one of those bad days. I even just updated to the latest firmware and software and still no improvement...in fact it seems worse.
