My WX station reads 40.2 for the dew point. Local WX stations are reading between 35 and 42. Regionally (Albuquerque Metro) most are reading lower to mid 30s. The swamp cooler is being failtastic today.

I'm back to the 40s on Dew. 43 yesterday and looking like 45ish for today. Looks like next week should do it.

Here in Sandia Heights (just under Sandia Mountain which overlooks Albuquerque, New Mexico) I a few minutes ago (4:18 p.m. MDT) reported 104.3 outside temperature from a Vantage Pro2 which has been in place for a little over a year and never previously logged as high as 101.0. my cumulus-generated websiteAnd, yes, I'm evaporatively cooled, so the current dewpoint of 23.2 is higher than I'd like when it is this hot. East of the Mississippi, they would call this dry heat, but we think differently. |

National Weather Service. Now cleaner looking.  The only other site I visit from the NOAA is the Storm Prediction Center. They're still on the old look. ———————— Upper 40s for dew points right now. Chances of storms all through this week.

the moisture is still struggling to get up to northern AZ. haven't punched through 50 deg dewpoints yet this week, but it looks like the best setup we've had so far. I figure we've gotta see some action in the next few days.
In the meantime, 67 dry days and counting. And, I did break through my record for consecutive days above 100 deg -- now 16 and counting. jeeesh, you'd think we lived in a desert or something!

Bottomed out at 63*F last night for an overnight low, expected to peak at 93*F today. Totaled .12" (give or take a hundredth because of evaporation) overnight as well. Less rain expected today, but our 4th up here is expected to be a soaker. Forget fireworks…it's a soda and mentos celebration up here  Dewpoints in the 50s, humidity at around 30% |

My Dew has been in the 50s for the most part today. Low Dew this morning with 48 and a high of 55.9 at 11AM. Some rumbling off in the distance...

So... after all those days without rain most of the year, when do think it comes down in buckets? While I'm standing around downtown (with everyone else) for the 4th of July/100 year celebration Parade of Lights. A lot more there than what my station got but 0.14" with a high rate of 0.85"/hr is good enough for me. Tomorrow is 'casted as "Heavy Rain" now. |

Heavy Rain 'casted at 60% tonite. Decided NOT to go watch the largest fireworks show in New Mexico because of that and the RADAR is still clear down here. It BETTER rain! Dew has been in the 60s for most of the day but has dropped to 54 and humidity slid all the way down to 35%. EDIT: Naturally, it didn't rain. I looked out the back window and saw the tops of the fireworks. Grabbed the ladder and hit the roof. Plenty of stars and a crisp breeze while the moon rose over the Organs. Good view and looked to be a good show. |

Ouch. We picked up .02" of rain last night. Saw some really ominous weather last night surrounding the area, but nothing exciting here.
30% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon with 50% heavy rain tonight.

Only had a 0.03" burst Thursday. The skies were very threatening all evening but nothing to speak of by me.
I'm going out on a limb here but I'll say that Friday makes my monsoon start. 4th - 59.7*, 5th - 57.7* on the Dew. Current Dew in mid-60s with 85% humidity... I say Friday makes it official.

Actually, my forecast is similar. They are expecting clear and hot (110) Monday, bracketed by monsoons on Sunday and Tuesday. Of course, my monsoon forecasts aren't as optimistic as yours...  You at least getting some rain out of this weather ? |

got a whopping 0.01" early morning of July 4th, nothing since. That tiny bit stopped my rainless streak at 69 days....didn't break the all-time 75 days though. reading a lot of articles in the newspaper about flooding, and some 4" downpours around Arizona.....not here though.

Steve - I've had rain 4 days in a row. Unfortunately, it amounted to 0.30" with the first day (3rd) seeing 0.19" of it with a max rate of 0.85"/hr.

 I'm confused. Does the monsoon start at different dew points in a variety of areas? Because up here, the monsoon generally starts when there are three-five consecutive days in a row where the dew point is above 47.5*F
