Some very light rain after midnite - 0.04" total. Cloudy and cold all day 47.8 for a high - 10 below "normal" but felt a lot colder following all those mid-60s.

Solved the recording issue by leaving the computer on instead of scheduling it to sleep and wake up.

Recorded about 8 hours of the skies today, only for the power to go out and lose everything. It's time to invest in a battery back up.  Brick wall

Hit a high of 47*F today...been in the mid to upper 40s since the last storm system a few days ago. Word on the wire is late this weekend we're expecting another nasty winter storm. Huge uncertainty, but I love it when we have convective snow storms.

Don't look now then. Hahaha.

Upgrading the Mac to Apple's newest OS...so no recording for today...or probably tomorrow. (Some complications with the USB flash drive I burned...long story).

Hit a high of 53 today, mostly sunny. Too bad I got sick to enjoy it.

Year high of 71.2 today along with 20+MPH winds - Red Flag Warning in effect for the county. Ditto for tomorrow but the weekend looks to be nice just a tad cooler.

72.9 today with 20+MPH winds (29 highest) and a low of 45. Other than a cold snap of 60 degrees tomorrow, we're getting there!

I'm still hoping for some more winter rain over here in AZ.  I've only logged 0.62" since 1 January.

I think winter is over up here...our last "freak cold" storm was on Valentine's Day. The forecast bounces from lower 60s to mid 50s to lower 60s to lower 50s through Monday...

Yuck. Wind.

Only 0.55" rain since JAN 1 down here but the 1.5" in DEC (includes melt) was the wettest month for all of last year and since JUL 2010 (2.25").

Nothing unusual in those numbers...  Rolling Eyes

25MPH max gust today and 'cast is for up to 37MPH tomorrow. El Paso is talking possible 45-50MPH

71.4 degrees and I had my first drops of sweat today while digging out my 3 dead Rosemary and 2 dead Rose bushes! 1 (of 2) Peach tree is flowering and the birds are pecking the ground all over the place. Today was the 4th day of 70+ temps this month.

Still 50*F with snow.  Shocked

Winds were pleasant believe it or not. 57*F and a warm east canyon wind at around 25 mph. Which eventually became colder after dark but not icy cold. Forecasted temps aren't nearly as dramatic as they once were forecasted.

Tomorrow: 50
Wednesday: 56
Thursday: 59
Friday: 52

Spring?

That is DRY!  Shocked

Winds are already clocking in at 30 mph gusts...they're predicting later this afternoon, winds will clock at nearly 40 mph gusts...and dust (which is already up in the air).

Maxed at 32MPH today and tomorrow 'casted at 47MPH gusts.

The Rio was an interesting sight. Nothing but sand from one bank to the other. The ripples reminded me of the south shore of Long Island where the beach would blow up into the grasses and fence barriers.

This is the same river that overflows its banks when we get those torrential monsoon soakers. I've always wondered why they just didn't dredge(?) the bottom and make it deeper.

To be fair, there was a "Levee Control Project" sign at the entrance to the parking area so that might be the plan (but I doubt it). It was dry last year as well when they held up the flow at the Caballo Lake dam. They released it on March 11th and it took 3 days to reach the picture location at U.S. 70. I only saw it on TV the day it happened.

It's pretty wild to stand right in the middle of it.

32MPH max today and it looks like the winds are moving on. They're not taking the cold with them tho'. 63 for a high today with mid-50s/mid 20s for the next two days.

2.5 shaker today at 8PM 11 miles east of El Paso - 45 miles SE of Las Cruces.

Oddly enough, I had checked my quake page this afternoon after reading about a couple in California.

75 degrees today!

The weekend was pretty windy...the worst wind was on Friday and Saturday. Hit a warmer yesterday at 67*F, today we're expected to hit 70*F with gusty SSW winds. Then it goes south, (not literally) tomorrow. Windy still, mid 50s, rain tomorrow night. Thursday drops the upper 40s and more rain and wind. Then we remain constant through the weekend hovering around 55*F.

76.8 today for the warmest day this year. Winds started acting up again but only gusted to 26MPH. Tomorrow should be a lot worse with the winds and then it's back to the 50s temps until the weekend..
