Here are pictures of my new weather station installation.  I copied scott71's idea for using a mail box post to mount the equipment.  The station is a Davis 6153 VP2.  I also added a CoCoRaHS rain gauge.  The other rain collector is hard wired to an older Texas Weather Instruments WR-25 (along with a temp/hum sensor).  The anemometer is 19 feet high using a 10 foot piece of 1-inch EMT conduit fastened to the post (4 feet high) with 5 feet of 1-inch schedule 40 PVC on top of the EMT.  The siting could be better, but I have to keep the HOA and neighbors happy.   I am am relocating the CoCoRaHs gauge to a more open area.

I also added a Solar Radiation Sensor that I mounted on the anemometer mast.  I made a home-brew mount for it that you can see in the pics.

I love the Solar Radiation Sensor mount, I may have to change mine, which was also moved to my mast last summer.

Does the schedule 40 PVC seem strong enough? I'm needing (wanting) to raise my anemometer another 3 feet, but want something non-metalic so it doesn't effect my Discone antenna.

I've considered a "cranked" mast, but can only find them in the UK.

The 1-inch schedule 40 seems to be sturdy for a 5 foot section.  I got all the parts for the mast and the SRS mount at Home Depot.
