Including a picture in a posting

I hate to appear ignorant, but how do you include a picture in a posting? I tried using the using "Additional Options" and got a message that attachments can only be a maximum of 512K in size.
Thank you for your help.

It means what is says your picture is too big you need to make it smaller. There are lots of free programs that will do that. gimp irfanview are a couple.

If you are using windows xp, the
xp powertoys
has a neat application called Image Resizer that allows you to right click on any image or images and resize.
