Climbing the cliffs of Moher in my sleep

WWW
« on: May 11, 2010, 02:01:35 AM »

Over the next couple of days, I'm going to attempt something daring - at least for me! I'm going to attempt to change from my current Ajax Dashboard to the AltAjax-DashboardV503. Before I do, I'm hoping to be enlightened on anything I need to do first. I don't have Solar, I don't have lightening and I'm running a La Crosse WS2308. I'm using a custom css in wide view and have theme switcher disabled.

Other than the things Weather Display currently uploads for the normal AJAX Dashboard, is there anything else I should have WD upload?

Any help will be most appreciated, especially as I'm partially blind and therefore almost literally feeling my way through Smile

I'm sure this has already crossed your mind but one thing I do when I make any major changes to mine is to have on the server with an alternate name until I'm satisfied with it.

When I'm done and ready to assign it the "index" status, I append the date of retirement to the old one. It's helped a couple of times to have to old one available in its working form.

I operate my own servers and domain so all I do is create a subdomain.mydomain.net such as dev.tokoroaweatherlive.net and use that to test my edits etc
