As a fellow photographer I always enjoy looking at other folks pics.  Sometimes it gives me inspiration when I need a kick in the butt to get out of the house and away from work and get some shots. The job part is hard to get away from but it sounded good. LOL.

Yea, We got a good 1/4 of ice & then about 6" or so of snow on top of it. But I don't think we are going to be quiet so lucky this time. The low end of accumulation is 12". The hi end is something like 18" And the way it's snowing now, 12" should not be a problem.

Very good photos. A small tip. If you take exposure lenses more time to light, water on the photos would look like a milk. Sorry for my english, I hope that you understand me. Very Happy

I think what Aquatic is trying to say is that with a slower shutter speed, the movement of the water will look like milk.

Takes me back as a kid I would put on a pair of insulated knee high boots and wade in the shallow crick during the winter.  The water seemed so clean and clear compared to the rest of the year.  What was real fun was breaking through some ice in a deeper area and filling a boot with water.  The short walk home of a couple city blocks sure got longer when that happened.   Laughing

Another wonderful set! For the running water shots, invest in a 3 or 4 stop Neutral Density Filter. This will allow you to take the shot at a slower shutter speed to blur the water yet not blow out the highlights in the snow portions of that image. 1 of the best filters I have used. You will need a tripod or at the minimum a nice IS lens.

Still beautiful  Applause
