I recently installed VWS 14.01 and set for rain the reading in mm.  The value is always too high.  Today it rained 0,6 mm, displayed on my console, and VWS shows 0,762.  When I change the monthly or yearly rainfall on my Vantage Pro2 to 64 mm, VWS gives 81 mm.  I tried WsWin to see if it was related to the software and WSWin gives the right value.  So I think there is something wrong with VWS.

Does anyone else has this problem and how can it be resolved?  Is this a bug?

Regards,

Koen

Under setings so could set an offset for the rain, +-25% or what you want.

Like Axelvold says, check the Calibration panel and see if there is a Gain value in the rainfall section. When we do the modification to the rain gauges for example, mine is set to .24 Gain so my console reads .04", but the VWS records .01".

Thanks!  I'm going to try this when I am at home.  Strange behaviour in this version.  I never had problems with version 12.08

Guess I have about the same problem. VWS shows monthly & yearly rain amounts way out of line. The monthly is higher than the yearly, but both are way higher than actual. This just happened this week & I haven't made any changes.

It is posting to the internet correctly. Even Weather Flash shows it correctly.

What weather station? This used to happen with my Lacrosse WS-2810. Finally got rid of it.

VWS can only deal with the information it receives.

I have a Davis Vantage Pro that has not been a problem in 5 years. I have WeatherLink 5.9 & Ambient Internet Edition

On my desktop VWS it shows Yearly Rain  4.26  Monthly Rain 4.55

On the internet display it shows correctly   Monthly 1.08   Yearly  4.58
