After doing every thing listed in the previous posts I am once again having to continue to reboot my router/console ~ every six hours. Very frustrating!

I just got off the phone with Brian @ Davis Support to explain my problem of having to re bot my router & console every 6hrs. as explained in an earlier post. He said they have had several calls about the same problem. It appears to be the Data Logger with Firmware Version 1.0.7  which mine is and that with other people now calling in with this issue is showing up with. He has talked with several people about this but he is not sure of when the next Firmware Version update will be. He told me to just continue to check the Davisnet.com, click on Support, then click weather support, then click software support , & this takes you to the weather Support page for firmware/software downloads etc.

As anyone else heard anything different, or can add to what I have said?  Thoughts & comments welcomed.

As also stated in the previous post I'm having the same problem. I was planning on calling them myself when my work week ended . For 220 bucks you'd think this thing would work Sad .

I believe we bought them around the same time so I'd bet mine has the same firmware. Where did you find your firmware #?

Thanks

Either check on the bottom of your account information page at weatherlink.com or go to your WLIP's web server configuration page at whatever IP your WLIP is using.

As far as I can tell yes, I have 1.0.7 firmware, it seems to be limited to that.

It also seems to be only a problem with the VP2 console, as d_l said he has the wlip (firmware 1.0.7)  connected to an Envoy with no problem.
Curious indeed.

My data logger seems to be working fine as far as my computers go, while I have them set to never download they DO download the necessary data whenever I open the program up .

I have a Vantage Vue with 1.0.7 firmaware.  Set up the unit on 1/1/10 so sounds like we are in the same boat.

So now we know that the problem exists with the VP2 and the Vue. So far one person who has WLIP connected to an Envoy does not.

Apparently Davis heard from us and updated to firmware 1.08
I received this email from Davis today

Login to your WeatherLink IP account; then click on MY ACCOUNT, to that you can check the firmware revision of your datalogger.

If it says your firmware is version 1.07, then visit this link & follow the instructions to update your firmware to version 1.08 BETA:

http://toolbox.davisnet.com/downloads/Weather/firmware/wlip/WeatherLinkIP_108_BETA/

I believe this will prevent the lockups you are experiencing.
