No. I almost bought from them when I bought my VP2 but Ambient's sale prices were just as good as SS so I went with Ambient.

I too bought from them and found the purchase satisfactory.  The delivery was fast and their prices were very good.  The only quibble I have is the lack of e-mail on when they shipped the weather station, and that's a very small one.

I can only speak on the companies I have dealt with and so far that has only been scientific sales.

I have recently purchased a vantage pro 2 and an anemometer transmitter in 2 different orders.   Both orders arrived in about 3-4 business days after I made the order on their website.    The online order process was quick and easy.

I cannot say how they are with e-mail response but I called them a day or two before Christmas and someone answered the phone.    I had a question regarding upgrading and they were very helpful.

They also offer a 60 day money back guarantee.   Mike

I'm a customer too......

I bought my VP2 from Scientific sales last Summer.
Price was good which made up for what I must call above average Shipping and Handling, like $24.00 or so.
I suppose they could lower their S&H and raise the Price Cool

I bought my VP2 from Tom at Scientific Sales. I ordered online and changed my order twice before it shipped, with no hassles at all. Their prices were about the best prices I found too.

One can definitely spend how ever much you want in the hobby.    Shocked  Those ultrasonic wind sensors fascinate me.

I have purchased the majority of my equipment from AMBIENT primarily because of price.  I have always had excellent service from them, and I will recommend them .  However, if a "newcomer" offers a substantially better price, and I do due diligence and believe that the "newcomer" will deliver as promised I will not ask AMBIENT to match their price .  I will buy from "Newcomer".  AMBIENT should be alert and aware of their competition's prices.

I just received a new Davis Vantage Vue that was purchased from Scientific and was VERY pleased with everything. Will be buying the WeatherLink serial from them, too!

While I bought my Vue from Ambient, Scientific Sales had the best price on WeatherlinkIP. Shipped fast, replied to my e-mail. I would recommend either company.

I bought my Data Logger from them because they actually beat Ambient on the price in that instance. Just the opposite with the VP2 because of the difference in shipping charges.  Ambient was cheaper, so with that order, I went with Ambient.

I would say they are both professional establishments and I got the items from both very quickly.  In fact, if I recall correctly, Scientific shipped my logger the same day I ordered it and it wasn't ordered first thing in the morning either.  Applause

I purchased from Scientific Sales recently and would recommend them to anyone.  Good communication, shipped quickly, no problem shipping to Canada.  I'll definitely buy from them again.
