Hi all I am in the process of trying to set-up a simple weather website with weatherlink.  I have attached a screen shot of a template that I saved as a test webpage on my hard drive .

Will the various weather monitoring graphics that are supposed to be on the right side of the screen appear once this template is sent to a web host or do I have a problem somewhere?   MIke

I guess you didn't go into the program and check off all the graphics.

I caught it.   I had to open the test folder to find the template.  Looks ok now.  Thanks

Looks good.  Could you steer me to where and how you got that.  Thanks,

Hi Paul this is a screen pic of one of the ready made templates available on the Davis Weatherlink software.    The software comes with the data logger for the Davis weather stations.   The template is currently sitting on my work computer until I can get a web host for it.

I believe this is from weatherlink version 5.9

I hope that helps.  Mike

Tanks Mike,
I've looked on my WL v. 5.8 CD but don't seem to see any templates there.  Are they in one ofn the setup files?  If not, I wonder if upgrading to 5.9 would provide them.

Paul when I ran the CD I had the program loaded on my C drive.

To find the templates I go to "My Computer".

Then I look for and then open the "Weatherlink" folder.

Then I open the "sample templates" folder and there they are.      Mike

Thanks again Mike,
Found that and did the same as you and test template is running ok locally on my computer with live WL data.  I have followed steps 33 to 37 in the Current Vantage Pro Template instructions.  Now, do you know what files, if any, need to be uploaded to my website or how does this \temp template show as a webpage?  Thanks,

  Paul

That is now your webpage.

the .htx file makes an .htm file to create the page

you just need to figure out where to send the file so it can be seen by the outside world

my link below shows my webpage.  Just a modified davis template.

There is a file under the "Templates" directory called "List of filenames for Image and Report files" that breaks down what each file is for and another called "weather Tag List" that details all the available <!--TAGS--> that Wlink uses.

I'm using a Davis template as well - it's a bit too wide with what I have in it but that's Life.  Laughing

Thanks for the help.  I have it now at  http://www.komokaweather.com/weatherlink/Current_Vantage_Pro.htm but the data  is from when I created the test page and is not updating.  Attached are snipped of my WL settings.  Any suggestions on how to get the data updated?

Well I dont really have a URL yet.    The template is currently stored on my work computer which is where the weather station is at.

I have been working on trying to accomplish some very basic changes to the template.    I wanted to get a Weather Underground PWS sticker added to the site along with a NWS Storm Ready logo (my park is now certified as StormReady).

I did manage to get both of those items placed in the template but they ended up at the top left hand side of the webpage.   The logos do link properly to the wunderground and to the NWS so at least I got that correct.

It will take me some trial and error time to figure out where/how to add the html so that the logos end up in a good spot on the page.   Maybe somewhere on the bottom would be ok.   ??

If someone has a suggestion on where/how to place the logo codes in the original current vantage template please let me know.

Thanks and Happy New year to everyone!   Mike

I have finally got all the WL settings correct after talking to Davis this afternoon.  They were excellent in helping me.  www.komokaweather.com/weatherlink/Current_Vantage_Pro.htm
Now to customize...
