I was wondering if it was really mandatory to update the firmware for the DST change or if I can just turn off DST for automatically changing the time and do it manually. I can change the time manually and save the $25 dollars for the updater.
One reason I ask, thats what I did, and everything I can see says the time is now correct, except for Weather Underground, for some reason they keep telling me they think the time is wrong on my weather station. I am running an envoy to connect to my pc but went in Weather Link and updated the time there thinking that would take care of the envoy. Appreciate any feedback.

What are you using to upload to WU? Weatherlink, VWS, WD, etc? Is the time on your PC correct?

What about your sunset and sunrise times? Are they correct?

I am using Virtual Weather Station 12.08 p13. Yep, pc clock is correct. As to the sunrise / sunset times. Compared to Weather.com, I am only a couple of minutes different. Sunrise Sunset VWS 7:31 7:30 Weather.com 7:34 7:32
Thanks

Oh, I got the sunrise sunset times off VWS, not off the console, if I look at the console, while the time is right, sunrise and sunset are off an hour. So then I opened up Weather Link which I think shows me what the envoy thinks is going on, it is also showing sunrise and sunset an hour behind. Guess thats why you have to do the update.

Make sure you have a check mark next to Daylight Savings in WeatherLink when you set the time. That should correct the Sunrise Sunset error. I left the auto detect unchecked as I've not upgraded my VP1's firmware. All seems to be working well for me with no WeatherUnderground errors.

Thanks for the note on the time setting Mark. I have not updated my VP1 firmware either and therefore manually set the console time. Didn't think about Weatherlink and the Sunset/Sunrise times...

Well, it seems Weather Underground is happy now, not sure what did the trick but they arent reporting any errors now. Now to see what happens on 4/1, I hope that the sunrise and sunset times straighten out and all will be good. I can deal with that being off for a couple of weeks if I can avoid having to go through the expense and pain of the firmware upgrade. Thanks for the responses.
