Well, the oddessy continues, I Reset this morning, went off to Guadalajara and when I got back it's still reading, but it's low at 25.10. I reset again and left the altitude correction at 0 even though we're at 5,000 ft, that stopped the flashing ALT note. I had a 5.02 offset in VWS with the 100 and so entered it again, it shows on the graph and the gauge on the web page, but the broadcast jpg still shows 25.10 and it doesn't seem anything I do changes that.
The unit is only 2 days old, but early this morning I tried new batts, not the problem, the barometric sensor is internal to the 200, so if it's failed in some way I'm screwed as I brought this down from TX to middle MX and returning it or getting any kind of service is basically impossible.
I swear yesterday when I put in the altitude reading it was reading out at around 30.00 which is what I'd expect, but not today.
OK, OK I get the message
I forget that everything in MX takes longer, so I went off to do other things, came back about 20 minutes later and it's now showing 30.15, we'll see if the problems are operator or WMS200, although dropping out after a few hours wasn't anything I did.
Stuck on 30.15 for over 2 hours, seems unlikely, but if it's reading and responding to Alt adjustment seems like it's working. Maybe some cerveza will make it better?
A day later:
The 200 appears to be sensitive to other wireless equipment in near proximity. I set it in the same exact place the 100 has been running for 2 years and it appears the barometer didn't like it. I tried a couple of places a few feet away and looks like that might be the solution, I don't like it and it's awkward, but whatever it takes.
