Is this what you mean? The letters from row 1 are overlapping the letters from row 2. The bottom of the g in "Warnings" is covering top of c in "CAZ076" I can see this behaviour in IE 6 and 7 at work.

It does show up that way in IE7 IE8 but switching off the Compatability View spaces the lines out like FF does.

Looks fine to me in IE8, although the gap between the lines is greater when the screen is reduced, rather than full screen.

I beat my head against the wall sometime trying to work out differences in browsers. I use IE7, IE8, Chrome, and Firefox. It's VERY rare to make something look the same in all browsers.
If you're using CSS, be sure to clear out all appropriate tag settings. For example, to start your CSS styles:
html, body, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p, code, form, ul, li, { padding: 0; margin: 0; font-size: 100%; font-weight: normal; }
That way, you set everything to a default for every browser. Each browser has it own way of setting defaults if they aren't already set, so setting your CSS to a standard default will make it easier for you to get things right.
