Has anyone been in contact with Ed recently? Normally when I e-mail him he responds within 24hr. In the last two months I've emailed him twice over an issue he was investigating but have had no response. Is he on holidays?

Henry,
So was it really a 268 he had and you ordered?

He's been answering most of my messages and I've sent him a lot lately.  Wouldn't call any of his answers helpful though. His email always comes from this address.

Yes, Andrew.  That sensor and a few other items.
Here's an excerpt from my order:

THGR268 Oregon Scientific  THGR268               1   29.95
Wireless Temperature/
Humidity Sensor
(Shipped)

I just looked at my CWOP quality rating, and I'm disappointed in the range of my new dewpoint values.  Terribly disappointed.  I know the THGR968 has an unreliable history, but I don't care for the tx range of the other sensors and hope not to have to give the 968 up for poor performance.  I'm also wondering if the heat from the Timberline roof shingles just below the THGR968 may be affecting it's performance.  Yesterday was an oven, and those shingles absorbed plenty of heat.  Even with good airflow, the radiation shield was likely only receiving "dried out" air from the baked heat of the shingles.  Those multi-layered Timberline shingles are known for heat absorption, much more than even slate shingles.  I'm going to experiment with relocating the 968 into the radiation shield I have mounted off the side of the roof tripod on the aluminum arm.  That's where the THGR122NX is currently situated, and where I intermittently lose it's signal to the console.  I believed I could have the RT918 repeater boost the signal of the 122NX, but have never been able to find the correct dipswitch settings for the two to communicate.

Sorry for the off topic.  I should have posted this in Oregon Scientific Hardware.
I still might do that to ask others for help with this one if I can't figure it out myself.
 Sad
