My computer has two 120mm case fans that both run at about 2000rpm. I also have a CPU fan. My computer idles at 135-140 F(at 100% i can get it to 145-150 if i run it like that for a long time) which to me seems to hot. Anyone know a way to cool it down ore with out having to add more fans(trying to stay quiet). BTW both hard drives run below 100F so im not worried about them at all.

Core temps directly linked to the heatsink you have on the processor.
You're running hot...not dangerous yet, but getting there.  Best to change out the stock heatsink for a high performance one.
Take a look at a site like http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/
The fellow Gary that manages that site is excellent.
I run my PC's overclocked, so I have to water cool them, but still have several with air cooling.
Good luck!  Cool

Josh, install SIW and it will tell you all the hardware and software etc. that you have on the computer, http://www.gtopala.com/ or some software here will also do the job http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=pc+info&tag=srch&searchtype=downloads&filterName=platform%3DWindows&filter=platform%3DWindows , hope it was something like this you were looking for.

Lavalys is excellent.  I use that one myself.
SiSoft Sandra another good one.
There's any number of diagnostic software that could assist you.
Have fun!  It's addicting, though  Cool

Isn't that a new computer, Josh?  I don't know but it sounds like it's cooling capacity is not adequate or not working right.  Perhaps you should take it back and get it checked out or replaced.

If it is a new computer, best time to install a high performance heatsink would be now. Smile
Those temps are indicative of a stock cooler.
Will add dramatically to the life of the core: heat is the enemy of all electronics  Wink

Stupid question but do you need a temp gauge to tell how hot your pc is running or is this info available somewhere?

Try PC Wizard 2008. It's free.  From the makers of CPUID.
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/PC-Wizard-Release.shtml
You can leave the temp display in a corner of you desktop all the time to keep an eye on it.
I use that together with Motherboard Monitor and SpeedFan.
All three run in the background.
Interesting to see the core temp climb when performing a large download or installing an app.
 Cool
