wireless-I see did not read properly

Is the drive sata? or IDE.
type compmgmt.msc into run command, see if you can see the drive there....under disk management.

got it! and its sata. i just gotta partition it and it will be good to go. So now i need advice...

I have a 160gb and this 500GB HD all my weather stuff is on the 160GB. I also have a 80GB External HD. Should i move all my weather stuff to the 500 since it is newer and then have it back up to the 80gb External or should i keep it all on the 160 and then have it back up to the 500 or the 80gb??

I would leave all the weather stuff on the root drive.  But that's just me.  Use the slave drive for everything else.
