I like the speed in the 3.5 version!  Some add-ons aren't yet 3.5 capable, and I needed to reinstall Web Developer.

Best regards,

I would use FF but it does not work with my laptop touchpad and "gestures" for navigating back-a-page. If any FF gurus know how to fix this I would appreciate the info.

What is providing the touchpad gestures? or are you on a Mac?

I think lddaly is refering to a "touchpad" computer (where the screen is touch-sensitive), not the built-in touch-sensitive area below the keyboard on a Toshiba laptop.  I too have a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Vista Smile

And, no, I don't think there is a 'gesture' add-on to enable FF to behave like IE8 on a touchpad computer.

No. I meant what software was enabling the touchpad gestures. My Dell laptop touchpad doesn't do this apparently.

I went to 3.5, but was disappointed in how many of my add-ins didn't work, especially the Adblock stuff.  Noticed the ads immediately on Weather Underground, and at first thought they changed their format!   Laughing  Silly me... Embarassed
That usually happens with a new release, though, and the application writers soon catch up.
Firefox is awesome, but there's plenty of other good browsers out there too.

Thanks but that add on does not work like a touchpad in IE.

No lockup on my StormVue with FF 3.5 (just tested).  Do you have
Java 2 Standard Edition 5.0 Update 6 (5.0.65.5) with
Plugin 1.5.0_60 for Netscape Navigator (DLL helper)

That's the version that works for me on FF3 without issues.

Ken

I upgraded to the new FF as well.  What I am seeing is that I usually have 5 or 6 tabs open.  Since the upgrade, when I try to reload one of the tabs, it opens in a new window instead of reloading the tab.  It's quite annoying.

When 3 came out. I tried it and removed it because I felt it was slower and clumsier than FF 2. I also had the tab problem. One main thing that thought was a waste of space was its over verboseness in the url window. Instead of 1 line per link you got 2 lines with the first one being the link and the line underneath it saying what the link is. I know that www.cnn.com IS CNN ! I even tried a patch that would reset the interface to V2 work alike and it didnt do it very well. I tried 3.5 and removed it too. Seems like they haven't got it right yet.

Tab Mix Plus?
No...that's not patched yet...err, I'll bet there's something in the extensive add-on list at Mozilla.
I know there's a way to fix that Slow Modem.

The addons compatibility is the main reason I tend to be a slow adopter of new versions of FF
