Did it grow into a tornado?
Can't tell from photo if it's on the ground or not.
Cool looking tho. From a safe distance.

That is a great picture and thank you for sharing! Lars, I would not say "never" and always have a camera ready and standing by where you can get it quickly. I thought that way too, that I'd never see one myself. Only see them in pictures and on T.V. and hear stories from others seeing them. Then, surprise!!! One pops up from nowhere, does what it wants, and then it's gone. You "never" really know even if records say differently.

On the ground you can see dust being kicked up... it's a tornado.

Awsome pic. Wouldn't want to be in that house.
Let's see if I remember my storm spotter training. If the funnel extends atleast half way or more to the ground it is considered a tornado.
Second, it is possible for a tornado to occure anywhere on earth. While it is not likely is a lot of places. Remember the possability remains.

Holy cow! That's is an amazing photo. At first glace it looks like it's about to touch down right next to the house, but you can actually see where it's touching down maybe a mile (?) behind the house.
