WU 5-day forecast

My WU 5 day forecast has two Wednesdays. Not sure if this is something that needs to be reported or just a WU screwup. I am using VWS p14.00 p42 which has been very stable for me.

I just checked my WU forecast in VWS and mine's doing the same thing (version 14.00 p64).

Don't upgrade or downgrade yet.

It's also doing it here on Version 13.01 p9.  I believe it has something to do with wundergrounds other issues reported today.

In Canada we had 5 WU forecasts in VWS.  Then all of a sudden a few years ago it changed to 3 days.  So my 5 day on my site would show
Mon Tues Wed Mon Tues (or things like that)  Even if I cleared 4 and 5.  They would reappear.   So I just culled from my site, and now use Ken's Enviro Canada PHP script.

^^^Which I think is a good idea , but I did notice this when I look at my wunderground station info (see image).

Now don't that mix up the pot. 


Maybe something at wunderground changed that causes VWS to no longer download properly.

I believe this has happened before.  I think it's just a temporary WU issue.

Not sure.  I think it the Canadian case, the data might have been limited by the source.  I know for a while even the WU main pages for Markham and Toronto said 5 day forecast it the top, but only showed 3 days worth of icons.  Now it shows 5 days again.   I got booted off my weather pc by the wife, so I will check vws to see what it it getting again later.

I think in your case, its probably related to the WU sunday maintenance window.... or maybe the April maintenance window.

There is something a bit strange with the WU forecast icon count.

I'm currently showing 5 icons (Today, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs).  SAM is showing only 4 icons (Today,Mon, Tue, Wed).

We both show a weeks worth of icons and summary forecasts below with the text description.

Ken I am getting similar research, however I now show icons for Mon., Tues., Wed, and Thurs.  No Sun or today icon.  It may be time sensitive as well since you and I are on seperate ends of the country.

I have Monday through Friday currently on the actual Weather Underground page but on what VWS displays I have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Wednesday and Wednesday

Must be some sort of work going on at WU..earlier I had just 2 Wednesdays  now I have 3.

Well..almost ready here too..Sesame Chicken I think ..Strange but mine is back to normal right now.
Either they are working with it or I am loosing it...not sure which anymore LOL!!

Guess Canada is back to 5 days... I show M T W T F currently.  I will watch, but I only use the vws/wu forecast on my legacy vws template site.

Maybe the current issue is with whatever source wu is using for US forecasts...

This morning, VWS and WU's page both show a normal 5 day forecast setup.  I guess it was a maintenance issue.
