i have a problem with my vws also my parents do too. we are both running the same setup. vws newest version, both wmr200 systems. we both will always get rain spikes. his is always 1.62 and mine is .09. The spike only shows up on the hourly rain graph it doesn't effect the total rain at all. the total rain never changes from this spike, but the hourly rain does. Because the hourly rain changes so does my wunderground website. it will say i have .09 more then I do. It doesnt graph the spike on wunderground's website tho but will show it in text .13 when it should show .04. Same with my parents station. I know the program has upper limit and lower limit. I am not sure if I should mess with those. If anyone can help me out with this i would appreciate it.

I don't use VWS so can't help with that but have 2 questions that may be useful. Is yours and your parents systems in the same house? If so do your spikes occur at the same time when this happens? If yes then it could be outside or external interference effecting them.

Looks like Ed just fixed this with P76

Quote
P76. Correcting issues with spikes in data with WMR200A. This is caused by an errant archive record (not a problem with Virtual Weather Station, this is a problem with the data logger).

Too short a time yet for me to determine it has worked here but I'm hopeful.   Smile

Had a couple of times with similar symptoms. Sudden rain recording 45mm+ when no rain had fallen. Didn't add to totals but did show on Wunderground and on graphs.

Check in Help => About and confirm that P76 has installed correctly.

I just started to have this issue. Did any of these solutions for the combination of VWS, WMR200 and rain spikes work?
