That is a professional looking installation. Does it have 24 hr fan aspiration or daytime only?

it is driven by a solar panel so it only spins daytime

Where did you get the solar panel? What are it's specs? What are the specs on the fan?

The fan draws out the air. My Swedish is a bit weak. What is the output voltage of the solar cell? There is no spec on how much the output is from the solar cell. I will try to check this

Here's some more information on the fan, luftfödet is 12-15M²/h depending on how much the sun is shining
I will keep you posted on how much power the solar cell provides

Interesting, so I assume that your fan is rated somewhere around 1.5 volts as well? I have never seen any computer type fan much below 4.5 volts, that would serve as what I think would be a good enough size for a FARS.

Hi Sam this is not a computer fan which I have linked up with solar cells, it is all in one, both the fan and solar cells are placed in the same design.

Oh...
So am I correct when I say... "The solar panel dome comes with a fan pre-installed"?
I was trying to find out more about the unit; so I tried to translate the web page you gave, to english, but google's translator did not like it.
I wish I could find something like it here in the United States?

That is correct. a possible solution is that I buy one and send it to you, unless you find someone in the U.S. whoops, I missed your post that you already found one. it is an identical fan

Sam, Thats an impressive sounding little fan. But dang. What a price tag. Also, can't help but wonder if it would not move to much air? Especially insde of a puny little temp sensor shelter.
Speaking of solar pannels. I would like to have one of the ones you see along the highway that run the flashing yellow caution lights. WIth one if those. You could run you entire weather station with power to spare.

Wal-mart sells solar-powered battery chargers. It has a pretty big panel/cell arrangement. It could probably be hooked up to a fan. But I think Lars' fan is made to order for a radiation shield. And, if you compare it to the aspirated Davis setup, the price isn't bad.

If you decide to go the "do-it-yourself" route vs. invest in a pre-constructed unit, check out www.geekalerts.com/solar-mini-clip-fan/ . Might give you some ideas and the price ain't bad either. Dan

Oh thanks Dan, another neat idea. I wonder how well it would fit to the standard ambient shield, and how long it would last. But for $10 maybe I should order 2.
