There's going to be a factory built about 30 miles southeast of here in Charleston, TN:

Wacker Chemie recently announced its intentions to build a polysilicon production facility in Charleston to supply raw materials to the solar panel industry.

It will probably be several years before they start cracking out solar stuff.  And when they do, it'll probably have to go to a foreign country to be made into something.  It would be nice if they had a factory second store or something like that.  I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Yeah, that would be pretty good if they do have a "blemished" seconds type of outlet nearby.
