Not so long, maybe 5 minutes.

As the distance from the console increased, the temperature value on ecowitt.net slightly changed, so I recognized that the data was still being successfully transferred. However, it was an open field, not a tree-lined park or housing estate.

Installed my new HP2551 with new Energizer Lithium Ultra batteries (best before 2038) on Friday 18th, its now Sunday night 20th and no data from outdoor sensor except wind data. The 6 internal sensors are working fine. Powered off and on the console and everything is working again. Strange..

Do you have a neighbour with a Fine offset station?
The reason I ask is that the console display suggested that it was seeing a separate wind sensor rather than the all in one sensor array. In the first two shots there is a aerial icon suggesting an additional sensor.
I am just thinking your console was seeing someone else's sensor array and after the reboot you started seeing the all in one as you should see only one aerial and signal quality set of bars if you have a normal all in one setup.

I never saw any other stations in the area. Nothing like this around. Unless maybe some one has a cheapy wireless indoor/outdoor station. The type with just the small outdoor temp/hum sensor. Lidl & Aldi sell them from time to time.If a neighbour had one of these; you wouldnt even notice it.Ive only ever seen this once, so hopefully it will be a rare occurrence. Ive got the all in one 2 arm outdoor array and 6 internal temp/hum units. Thats all.

Ive just checked back through all the console data and this is the only time it happened. So Im not overly concerned.

Can I amend incorrect data?
Huge outdoor temp downward spike this morning. Can I correct it on the Ecowitt/Wunderground sites ? I dont want it to effect daily/weekly/monthly/yearly lowest temps.

Looks like the ourdoor array lost connection with the console for an hour causing the temperature to be recorded at -36.8. I might relocate the console.

Nope, you cannot edit online data with any service that I know of and I upload to about 12 of them. There was a time when Weather Underground allowed editing but they got rid of it. If you want perfect records that you can edit then you should store the data yourself with methods such as mySQL, Weather-Display, WeeWx.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. Heres my plan ;
Im assuming that the problem is caused by interference. My console is located at the back of the house. I have a GW1000 that I havent got setup yet. Plan is to setup and locate the GW1000 in a central location in the house. Then If the GW1000 is uneffected by interference, then I will stop the console from uploading and use the GW1000 to upload. Just have to plan the location and wiring as the GW1000 needs a 5v supply

The GW1000 is much better at receiving data than any other Fine Offset console. The GW1000 can easily be even made better by opening it up and straightening out the red antenna wire and making a small hole for it to come out of the case. Ecowitt endorses this idea as they have suggested it to others.

Since you have a GW1000 you should consider a Meteobridge or Weather-Display or WeeWx to then use those to have local data.

I'm not able to edit Ambientweather.net as suggested in that other link. I can however select a row of data and delete that entire record, meaning all of the data for that given time stamp. There is no way to edit and no way to select just one datum. That said at least with Ambientweather.net you can get rid of bad data by deleting the entire row. You shouldn't lose rainfall unless it was the last record for the day before daily reset.

This is the only thing that is possible as documented here:
https://ambientweather.net/help/how-do-i-edit-my-graphs-and-table-data-i-have-a-bad-data-point/

And no this is not possible on Ecowitt.net....yet. This has been requested and I think they are working on it.

Another downward spike this morning on the HP2551. No such problem with the GW1000. Ive stopped the HP2551 from uploading to WU. Now I have the GW1000 uploading instead  [tup]

Would be good if pressure and AQI were on the bottom of the pop-up window when you mouse over stations on the map.

Never in my life have I dealt with such a good company! Their support is amazing. I emailed Lucy about buying some more indoor sensors. In her reply to me she mentioned the problems I was having with my console and asked for some pictures of the data etc. I never brought up the subject in my emails to her so she must have read about my problem here on this forum. I got a reply today with new firmware to fix the problem! They reckon that the console is picking up a signal from a WH26 sensor which I dont own!. The new firmware has the option to "Disable" (ignore) certain sensors. Amazing support ; sent pictures yesterday and got new firmware today! A huge thank you to Lucy and the engineer involved. I really cannot believe this level of great support from a company.

That is why I ordered the Wireless rain gauge, the WS-68 ,the PM2.5 particle sensor, the GW-1000 and the HP2551 display console.

I love it how responsive they are @ Ecowitt.
Now I going to get a station with sensors to be placed at the most ideal spots.

What is the firmware version number?
1.5.3?
Could you post it as an attachment in this forum?

It might be best to wait until Ecowitt release it on their website. It may not be tested enough yet.

My HP2551-C console has:
Hardware revision number: V1.0

Is there a difference between: V2.0 and V1.0

Can I upgrade my console to a higher version?
Sorry for my English.

The hardware is the physical console (components, design, pcb layout). The only way to upgrade is to buy a new console which is pointless really as both versions will have the exact same functions. The difference maybe a redesign of the pcb with different component placement. Maybe a change to reduce production costs. I really wouldnt worry about it. This is normal practice in electronic equipment production. For all we know; v2.1 or v3 may already be in production :)

Ultrasonic anemometers can suffer from extreme weather conditions, and in particular the formation of ice on the transducers, a situation in which the anemometer returns incorrect, partial values, or even ceases to function until the ice has disappeared.

In the professional ultrasonic anemometers there is the possibility to heat the sensor, some offer two variants, one normal and one heated for extreme climates, but here we are not dealing with a professional sensor

I can communicate that all the new ws80 will already be equipped with a heating system already installed, the ws80 will be complete with a cable that will be passed through the bracket tube (obviously it has been modified for the purpose), who needs to heat the anemometer can buy the extension cable (10 or 20mt) and network adapter from ecowitt, those who do not need this will protect the connector at the end of the cable with a silicon watertight cover (supplied with the ws80)

the new version will cost exactly as before, so $ 110 excluding shipment costs, e extensions complete with adapter will cost $ 20 for the 10m and $ 35 for the 20m.

I hope it is appreciated and I apologize for my English

Mauro
