Nice hope areas get a good soaking.
Another low hurricane occurrence season. Just another prediction bust of world disasters, that wouldn't make your nightly news.

I kinda gave up watching these things since the S2K staff got so mean and abusive.  I keep hoping this site will pick it up a bit, but everybody is focused on other things here.  Then there was the bunch from the other site ....

Meantime, a tropical low is currently headed up the mid section of Oklahoma with Oklahoma City expected to get a good rain from it by Wednesday.  For the time being, Oklahoma City is expected to be on the dry side of Gordon.

Ah, the accuracy of predictions! How close is close enough / too close?

From that low on Tuesday, I may get as much as 3 in. of rain.  We'll see.

That low is a remnant weak tropical wave that came in around Galveston and is drifting north. It brought a lot of rain to the Houston area, much of the middle and lower TX coast, and parts of south central and central TX on north. In some locations west and north of San Antonio it has dropped almost 7" of precip in spots (more with similar rains Sun/Mon). I haven't had a drop.

It's the 1009mb low shown south of Dallas in the Unisys WX enhanced sfc/sat/radar image below (sry about that image, my Irfan is acting up I guess, tried to crop it twice):

IMO! What we have here is a prime example of garbage in garbage out.

I want to know why I keep getting these Tropical systems when I'm hundreds of miles inland.  This will be the second this year and I think there were three or four last year that dumped on me.  Maybe I need to move to the coast where they only get one every few years at any given point.
