Another Nor'easter!
« on: March 06, 2018, 04:46:40 PM »
Yet another major Nor'easter is on the way for us here in Maine. We are expecting to see 18-24" of snow and winds frequently gusting over 40MPH. Snow should start to fall between 3PM and 5PM tomorrow, and will last through the first part of Thursday night!

Our snow depth is down to a mere 7" currently, but that is about to change. We had a very snowy beginning to the winter, but since then its just been cold and windy with small storms here and there. We have the potential to lose power with this storm as it will be a wetter snow with wind. We'll have to wait and see I guess, and hope for the best.

Check out my webcam which updates every 5 minutes on my page, as well as current conditions throughout the storm here http://monumenthillweather.webs.com/

We had just over a foot in CT; heavy wet snow! Thank goodness for the snowblower. Looks like our place in VT has about a foot or so as well. However, the Southern Greens hit the jackpot. Stratton and Mount Snow are both reporting close to 3'! Feet! Unreal. Woodford Vermont is reporting 40" in a few spots. This storm saved the ski and snowmobile seasons for a select area.

For sure! We ended up with 19 here in Leeds, ME. Thankfully for the most part is was a more powdery snow here with temps in the upper 20s as it was falling.

But I didn't see any webcams on that page, unless I missed it.

I took the webcam down once the storm was over. I send my image through my Weather Underground page and then upload that image to my website. Due to security issues with my internet provider, that's the only way its possible. And with WU's issues and inconsistnecy with webcams lately, I've decided to take it down (at least for now).

Here is a link to the daily video from my webcam of the blizzard however.
