bad AC power = bad wind readings???

I have a new 2316u connected to a Linksys NSLU2 and am seeing similar bogus wind readings plus occasional bad temp and rain readings.  Before I replace the cables, thus eliminating any possibility of returning the 2316, I would like to try grounding the NSLU2.  The power supply is a wall wart with a 2 prong plug.  It has no serial ports to ground to (I'm using serial to USB converters).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to ground an NSLU2?

BTW:  The NSLU2 is also tracking a Brultech 1220.h home energy monitor and a 4860 watt Outback solar electric system.

First, are the bogus readings on the station console and/or the p.c. ?

You could try to isolate the problem by letting the station run by itself, not plugged into the NSLU2 (thinking it could be the USB/serial converters) to see if the readings continue.

If you can go direct to the p.c. from the station bypassing the NSLU2 and see if the readings continue.

I don't believe it's a grounding issue with the NSLU2 and the isolation tests mentioned above would rule it out.
Another possibility could be a ground problem with another device that shares the NSLU2 with your station.

Dan,

The console does list a max wind speed of 86 mph (did it again at midnight last night), but the bad temperature and rain readings were only reported by wview, not by the console.  This gives me a place to start.  I'll try to isolate the problem as previously described.
