Hi all, new to the forums, good to be here.

I've just purchased a LaCrosse WS2355 station and am just wondering how on earth I go about mounting the rain gauge? From what I've read, there are two tabs on the bottom which are supposed to be pulled back to take the cover off. But so far, this has not been possible. The tabs are tiny, and you can barely even fit anything in there to pull them back. Am I missing something here?  Confused

Thanks

The tabs are pretty tough, just push in one side at a time. the first time i took mine off, I thought I was going to break them, but they didnt. just be carefull, the cover will come off.

After a testrun tonight I'm not so sure I've done it all OK. The outside temp, humidity and air pressure are all registering incorrect values, I know this because I'm comparing off two other stations in town. Now, when I put the temp gauge outside, the temp does drop ever so slowly, but not to the point that it should be at (24 deg, it SHOULD be around 20-21 tonight). Humidity should be around 10% higher and also the air pressure is about 4hpa from what it should be. The rain gauge and wind vein work fine after a few tests, so something's obviously up with the temp gauge...Suggestions? Running it wireless by the way.

EDIT OK nevermind about the temp & humidity problem, I've now rectified that. However the Air Pressure inaccuracy remains.

Well I also ended up sorting the air pressure issue out. However for some unknown reason, the console seems to have lost connection with the wireless signal tonight. Why would it do this? It was working fine up until now. I've just taken the batteries out, put them back into the main console, it's detecting the humidity but still not the outside temperature nor the wind. Anybody know what might be causing this?

Hi weatherrocks27,
I've recently bought the same station and having some similar problems with readings (particularly air pressure). Can you tell me how you sorted out the air pressure issue?
Cheers
