Hi all,
the LCD panel of my WMR968 is displaying a low battery symbol in the top left of the screen - I presume this indicator is the thermo-hygro transmitter. However, I've checked the Energizer Lithium batteries and they are fine!! So too the batteries in the rain & wind transmitters.
I've reset them all, and reset the base station, all readings are coming through, yet I still have a low battery symbol.
Ocasionally, the temp/humidity of the sensor goes to --.- during the night, but 2 minutes later it displays a reading again.
Could it be indicating the rechargeable battery is at fault?
Brian

Hi Brian. Just as an easy check to see if those temp/hygro batteries are good or not, you could swap in a set of new alkalines temporarily to see if the problem remains or goes away.?.? Dan

I did swap them for a brand new pair of Energizer Lithium, but same result.
btw, I didn't say how I know the batteries are still good - I have a Duracell battery tester.

When you get a low battery indicator on the console for one of the sensors. It is indicating that the rechargeable battery pack is getting weak and not the AA backup batteries.

Thanks for the advice.
I wish the user guide for the WMR968 explained whether it was the AA or rechargeable batteries!!
Any ideas where I can acquire replacment rechargeable battery packs? I live in the UK, and how much do they cost?

Do you run any sensors on channel 1-3? Even if you dont knowingly, you might have picked up a close by unit that uses sames protocol. It could also be your termo/hyrgo/baro inside? I would not run out and grab a new recharge back just yet. A set of litiums should run the sensor for quite a while with no recharge battery pack Andrew Thanks for the advice.

I did put new batteries in, and the performed a transmitter reset, and forced the base station to scan for transmitters - it still shows low battery.

I just re-read your original post. Is the low battery indicator in the forecast/barometer square? If it is, that means the inside sensor needs batteries.

Cycle thorugh the channels on the console.... That is why I asked if you were using channel 1 2 or 3. A low battery on any of the three will show on main screen. Even if you think you are not using an "extra" sensor, it might have picked up one from the hood. Andrew I did put new batteries in, and the performed a transmitter reset, and forced the base station to scan for transmitters - it still shows low battery.

Glad you fixed, even though I did hint at the indoor thermo/hygro/baro one in my 8:46am post.... Another way you can tell that your indoor one is low (at least in my experience...) after a few days of low battery, and my pressure readinhs go extremley wonky... Andrew

Didn't even think about it picking up another near by temp unit on one of the other channels.
