I have a Oregon Scientific WMR-200. How do I configure my internet version of virtual weather station to update to my website or weather underground data after my PC has been turned off, with archived data from that time while my PC was offline?
TIA Johnnie

I don't think you can, I had a wmr-689 and it wouldn't do that. Your computer needs to be up 24/7

I don't believe any configuration was necessary. At least I don't remember doing any. Once the computer was turned back on, the stored data automatically uploads from the console into VWS. Check your console manual to ensure you have the appropriate setting for storing this data (time increments). What version of VWS do you have? The data upload feature broke around version 14 P33 but was fixed by version 14 P50.

Initial purchase of the software allows you all the updates. Go to the Ambient weather site and download the latest version. Before applying the update BACKUP ALL YOUR DATA!

Jonnie, I have a WMR200 and run VWS 14 p33 and I don't run my station and computer 24/7. I can't comment on your website problem because I don't have one. However, I do upload data to Weather Underground, when I start my station and computer in the morning the information stored overnight in the data logger will start uploading to Wunderground. Occasionally the stored data wont upload, it goes straight to the time I boot-up, when that happens I simply close VWS and restart, that always works. Oddly enough it is always a Saturday when that happens! Alan

Johnnie, Others have answered the WU part. Dont understand what you mean regarding your website. there is no archived component to the website, all the data/htm files would be new. The only historical information is in your reports and those would update with the most current report, which would include all historical data from your database/bin files. So for web there is nothing special you need to do. Andrew I have a Oregon Scientific WMR-200. What is your Web Site Address (URL)? I update my web server with an xcopy command. This updates some of the data files that I use for other items on my site. http://weather.mfc-cs.com/cp.aspI save the JPG files directly to the web server through WVS as a Mapped Drive letter. NDS Weather

Thanks for all the info.
I have noticed something else also. Every now and then I get very high wind gust reading. Usually 177 mph or higher. These only show up on my VWS not the Weather Display for my station. Any Ideas?
Also, wello you mentioned initial purchases allow upgrades. Can I only upgrade once? I hope not, but just to clarify.

You can upgrade VWS as much as you want. As for the high wind gust, chances are good it is caused by a ground loop in your electrical system, between the computer and console. This isn't something that is uncommon, and isn't only VWS related. You can either correct the issue with your electrical system, or place an isolator in between the computer and console. I would see this appear while running on generator power. An isolator corrected the problem. Bob
